I dont actually serve on the Ilford Race Committee myself but I believe Billy Green has already responded on the Elvis fb page on behalf of the organising committee as to their intentions following yesterdays government announcement. Subject: Newman Hilly Five Message from Alexandra Rutishauser-Perera June 15, 2021 10:59 am Dear Martin, Considering the announcements made yesterday by the PM to continue the current restrictions till the 19th of July, I wanted to enquire if you will plan to make some modifications to the Hilly five race so that it could follow the recommended guidelines. Use of chip times and wave starts would be ideal as it would require less work from volunteers but there is always the option of asking people’s time in advance and having waves of 30 people starting every 30 secs ? Kindly let us know what will be planned for the event, we are all, I am sure happy to help and support should you need it to make the necessary arrangements!
